Dr. Gwen Elprana

Gottman Level 1 & 2 · EFT · PhD-level psychologist

I am Dr. Gwen Elprana — PhD-level psychologist and psychotherapist under the German Heilpraktiker law. My professional conviction: couples therapy and sex therapy are inseparable. Relationship dynamics, emotional closeness and sexuality influence each other and can only be addressed together.

Beyond my professional training, I bring a biographical perspective: balancing a young family, high professional responsibility in international corporate settings and my own inner drivers is something I know not just in theory.

When everything works, but nothing seems to connect anymore, it's time to look inward.

Alongside our shared work I also see people one to one, as a psychotherapist and sex therapist. That setting is for what is easier to say without a partner in the room: your own body image, lost desire, difficult experiences, the personal history behind a pattern.

Oliver Herrmann

Gottman approach · Systemic work · Attachment theory

I am Oliver Herrmann — certified Tony Robbins life coach, couples and sex coach in the Gottman approach. I know first-hand what it means to be stuck as a couple, to lose closeness and to disappear in the everyday demands of work, kids and obligations.

Before becoming a coach I lived the classic high-performer life: top corporate salary, multiple business trips a week, three children, the full programme — but barely any room for partnership, health or real connection. That is exactly why I started training.

Relationships don't show us what is wrong with the other — they show us what still needs to heal in ourselves.

One to one with Oli

Outside couples therapy I work with men one to one. It starts with an honest look at where you stand, then goals and a plan for the three areas that hold each other up: health, relationships, and the question of what your energy is actually being spent on. Online, or walking by the Elbe.

Our mission

The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. Happier couples are happier people, and they raise happier children. Using research-based methods, we help couples and individuals find their way out of the patterns that hold them in place — in their relationship, in their sexuality, in how they see themselves — so they can live a full and happy life.

What we stand for

Scientific rigour

Our work is grounded in research. We use methods whose effectiveness has been studied, and we check along the way whether they are working in the case at hand. We keep our knowledge current and change our approach when new findings call for it.

Structure and direction

We work with a goal in view. It begins with a shared understanding of what should change — from that grows a path with recognisable steps. We keep track of where things stand, and speak openly about what is within reach and what is not.

Empathy & acceptance

We believe people need different things and that relationships take many forms. So we meet every couple without a notion of how they ought to live. Listening comes first, understanding before judgement — and we bring our own experience as a couple into the room.

Positive sexuality

We see sexuality as part of health and of the relationship, not as a side issue. We believe it must be possible to talk about it — about desires as much as about boundaries. Consent is the foundation for us, sexual satisfaction a legitimate concern.
